1897
She was born in Istanbul. She learned French and Greek through by private tutoring when she was very young. She went to Kadıköy Terrakki Elementary School. She then went to Notre Dame de Sion High Secondary School.


1913
She became one of the first Turkish women working as a public servant in Istanbul Telephone Company since she knew French and Greek in a period where Turkish women were not allowed to work for the government.
1921 - 1923
She worked as a French teacher in Erenköy All Girls' High School


1921
She married to the theatre actor, Ahmet Refet Muvahhit.
1923
The director Muhsin Ertuğrul offered a role to Bedia Muvahhit who was a family friend in his movie based on the novel Ateşten Gömlek by Halide Edip Adıvar. No Turkish women had ever been in a movie until then and this movie changed their faith. Bedia Muvahhit accepted the role and together with the other female actor Neyyire Neyir she became a part of history of Turkish cinema as one of the first female actors.


1923
Her official debut in theatre was with the play Othello by Shakespeare directed by Muhsin Ertuğrul.
1924
She became a regular actor at Dârülbedayi.
